LONDON-BASED TECH21™

Superior to develop solutions with d3o™ intelligent shock absorbing material EXCLUSIVE for it’s customer base and announces an EXCLUSIVE resale relationship for existing and future Tech21™ solutions.

Irwindale, CA — Superior Communications, one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of accessories for wireless devices in the Americas announces a partnership with London-based Tech21™, who use the patented material d3o™, in their products. Through this partnership, Superior will be able to offer to its retail partners multiple solutions incorporating the patented impact resistant material. 

In its raw form, d3o™ is soft and pliable, but instantly hardens on impact when dropped or struck. It’s able to diffuse the energy from almost any type of impact to offer outstanding shock absorbing protection. d3o™ can be integrated into various popular carrying and protection solutions for consumer electronics and is processed into a foam while retaining the same shock absorbing properties.

Led by Jason Roberts, Tech21™ first introduced the d3o™ line in a series of cases in 2009. With successful distribution primarily in the UK and Europe, expansion was planned into the Americas. Mr. Roberts explained, “We needed to be sure that our partner in North and South America was of the highest caliber. Superior is simply, superior, we are very excited to have them as a partner.”

With regional offices and staff around the country, Superior currently works with all of the major wireless carriers and many of the national and independent retailers providing mobile accessories. d3o™ was featured this year at Superior’s CTIA booth in Las Vegas where Mr. Roberts was on hand to demonstrate and discuss, in detail, products that use d3o™ as well as the technology behind the shock absorbing material.  Show attendees witnessed first hand as Mr. Roberts threw his sell phone protected by a Tech 21™ iBand™ against a solid wall with no damage.  Superior will showcase this amazing demonstration in the coming months through a variety of events and online releases.
